Ammo must be pre-loaded. 50 shots minimum will be required
(75-100 recommended). 5 targets, 5 shots per target not including sighters at 100 and 200 yards. The course of fire opens with a standard 100 yd official Benchrest Target which consists of a sighter bull and a record bull on one target.

The shooter is allowed to shoot an unlimited number of shots on the sighter, but only 5 shots on the upper record bull…the 5 shots are measured center to center to establish group size in M.O.A. to the thousandth of an inch.

A shooter may adjust his scope on this first target..NO FURTHER SCOPE ADJUSTMENT (windage or elevation) will be allowed after the first target is completed. The shooter will be allowed to adjust for focus or parallax during the remainder of the match, but cannot make any adjustments for windage or elevation for the remainder of the shoot.
The 2nd thru 5th targets will be a variety of animal targets with scoring rings. A shooter will fire 5 shots only (no sighters) on each of the animal targets. Each target will be scored for total points and X count and that score recorded into the shoot log.

After the 100 yard stage is completed a short 30 minute break is taken while the 1st 200 yard target is put up.

The 200 yard stage begins with a official Benchrest Target as it was at 100 yds, but NO scope windage or elevation adjustments are allowed. The shooter must hold off or estimate windage and elevation at 200 yds, as one would do in field hunting conditions.

The shooter can shoot an unlimited number of sighters on the first target at 200 yards, but must shoot 5 only on the record bull on the same target. As was done at 100 yards.

The 2nd thru 5th targets at 200 yards will be animal targets with scoring rings (same as the 100 yd stage). Five shots only per target NO sighters allowed.

Each 200 yard target is scored and the score recorded into the shoot log.
After all targets scores are recorded into the shoot log.

Prizes are awarded for the smallest group at 100 yards (1st target), and for the smallest group at 200 yards (1st target).

Prizes are awarded for the highest overall score taken from the sum of the scores from all of the animal type targets 100 and 200 yards combined, X count is used as a tie breaker.
